Responsibilities

Everyday is different for a PCA. Our Personal Care Assistants care for ill, injured or convalescing patients or persons with disabilities in their homes. You will be responsible for providing quality care to each patient in adherence with all laws, regulations and policies.

Qualifications

  • 18 years or older
  • Able to read and write consistent with job requirements
  • Successful completion of a training program in personal care services per state regulations
  • Fulfills state health requirements
  • Reliable means of transportation
  • Capable of moving, lifting and/or transferring clients without posing a danger to the client, co-worker or self
  • Experience with Hoyer lift is a plus
  • Experience working with head trauma patients is a plus
  • Current CPR (live demonstration course only)
  • Negative TB/PPD or Chest X-Ray within the last 12 months
  • Proof of current physical completed within the last 12 months
  • Successful completion of the skills assessment specific to the areas of experience including any specialty areas
