Responsibilities

As the Home Care Administrator / Clinical Director you will provide overall direction and clinical management for home care services, compliant with all regulatory state and/or federal requirements. In addition, the Home Care Administrator / Clinical Director also supports the agency business plan as well as the financial and business development functions


Additional responsibilities:

  • Oversees office operations and personnel to ensure quality of service and client care
  • Responsible for regulatory requirements to ensure agency is compliant with State and Federal regulations
  • Managers and reports on financial matters
  • Represents agency in community activities
  • Works jointly with sales to ensure growth goals are achieved
  • Takes/Reviews/Converts home care referrals and works with office staff to ensure that cases are appropriately authorized for services
  • Conducts/Supervises client care including assessment, recertification, care plan development, coordination of services, discharge planning and periodic evaluation of client care
  • Works with office staff to facilitate a recruitment program for staff for growth and adequate coverage of existing cases
  • Supports office staff with recruitment, new hire processing, and scheduling issues
  • Takes, documents, and supports the resolution of complaints
  • Oversees Home Health Aide requirements for in-service and competency
  • Conducts quarterly clinical reviews and PAG meetings as required by state regulations
  • Conducts home visits

Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse with a demonstrated commitment to service excellence that can ensure our patients receive the highest quality of care and understands the business dynamics of the healthcare system. If you are passionate about quality care, have strong leadership skills and excellent communication skills, this is the position for you! 

Specific requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in nursing, from a college accredited by the National League of Nursing strongly preferred
  • Current unencumbered RN License in the state of practice
  • 3 years of current nursing experience as an RN
  • 1+ years of experience in home health care
  • Management experience within the last 3 years that included hiring and firing
  • Knowledge of home health care regulations
  • Knowledge of insurance and reimbursement criteria for home care services

Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some weekend or evening hours may be necessary in emergency situations. Position will include clinical on-call responsibilities.

Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight will be expected.
