The Payroll Specialist is responsible to process a weekly payroll, maintain employee data integrity and set up and maintain garnishments. Support management in carrying out the responsibilities of the payroll department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process Daily Payments and all associated worksheets and balancing.
  • Review weekly field payroll processing for accuracy and created and/or post corresponding journal entries.
  • Process garnishments.
  • Maintain Employee Data Integrity (SSN verifications, missing employee information, new hires, etc)
  • Maintains current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hours laws.
  • Works as a team with all other employees with the Central Payroll department.
  • Performs filing, photocopying and other general clerical duties.
  • Awesome customer service to clients and field offices.
  • Other duties assigned to meet goals and needs of the company.

Education and /or Experience
High School diploma or higher, some college preferred.  Two - three years previous related experience and/or training required.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully; an individual must have knowledge of Excel, Word and Payroll software.

Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience.

Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.

CPP or FPC preferred
