Responsibilities

MEDICATION TECHNICIAN (STAFFING)

• Respects client’s rights and maintains confidentiality.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Computer proficiency.
• Front office procedures such as telephone triage, record keeping, scheduling

• appointments.

• General office procedures such as accounts payable, payroll processing, accounts

• receivables and collections.

• Insurance billing.
• Medical records management.
• Back office procedures including recording vital signs and medical histories.
• Assisting physician with exams, minor surgeries, EKG’s and radiology.
• Preparation of treatment trays, cleaning and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
• Stocking cabinets and treatment rooms.
• Assisting with first aide emergencies.
• Administering CPR.

The following tasks are also considered essential:

• Lifting unspecified weights, depending on assignment requirements.
• Bending and stooping to prepare equipment and materials for treating clients or

• managing the client’s environment.

• Transferring, turning and positioning clients and assisting clients in walking

• and moving from place to place.

Qualifications

MEDICATION TECHNICIAN (STAFFING)

• Current CMT licensure with the State Board of Nursing in the State of Georgia
• 1 year experience as a CNA in the last 3 years in a supervised setting preferred
• Current CPR (live demonstration only)
• Negative TB/PPD or Chest X-Ray within the last 12 months
